The sixth event of the season was held on Geist Reservoir. Sixteen teams rolled in to participate in the event. Lower water levels were in store for the day as the summer drought has taken its toll on the reservoir, not quite as low as Morse Reservoir, but still down close to two feet. However, it is Geist and everyone knows there will be plenty of good fish brought to the scales. Congratulations to Fred Felix and Jeff Wehner. Fred and Jeff brought in a limit that tipped the scales at 14.51 pounds and winning their first tournament of the season by two tenths of a pound. They also had the big bass of the day, a beautiful five pound largemouth that sealed the deal. This is Fred and Jeff's fifth finish in the money and has launched them into first place in the Angler's of the Year race. What a day and congratulations guys! In second place was the team of Kevin Cowen and Bob Foxworthy. Kevin and Bob had a great day bringing in a limit of fish that weighed 14.33 pounds and just coming up a few ounces short of a win. Great job guys! In third place was the team of Roger Mikels and Jason Vance. Roger and Jason also had a nice limit of fish that weighed 12.86 pounds. Rounding out the top five were the teams of Aaron Hochstedler and R. Ellis and Chris Lawson and Brandon Kappes. Hochstedler and Ellis had 11.16 and Lawson and Kappes had 11.07 pounds respectively.
