ART AND BRANDI HUNT TAKE THE WIN!
The fourth event of the Smithland Pool division started with a temp of around 72 degrees at the 5:40 safe light take off the temp reached 92 degrees and humid. Anglers reported catching their fish throughout the day using various baits and locations. Twenty four teams out of thirty two teams weighted in a 5 fish limit a total of 131 fish were weigh in at a total of 282.04 pounds at an average of 2.15pounds per fish. I would like to thank the 32 boats and 64 anglers that fished. A total pay out for five places and the 8 total boats paid out in this event was $4525.00.
The first place team of Art Hunt and Brandi Hunt reported catching their 5 fish using spinner baits and jigs in shallow water on the main river current breaks. The team ended the day with a nice sack of fish that weight in at 17.87 pounds earning them $1400.00 for first place and entering the option money worth $200.00 for a total earning for the day of $1600.00 and plagues. GREAT JOB GUYS!
The second place team of Jason Hodge and Lonnie Bowlin reported catching their 5 fish limit using jigs and crank baits in deep and shallow water in current breaks. The team ended the day with a sack of fish that weight in at 17.29 pounds that earned the team $810.00 for second place and option money worth $120.00 for a total earning of $930.00.
The third place team of Eric Foister and Don Davis reported catching their 5 fish that weighed in at 13.92 pounds using jigs and worms deep in the current breaks in deep water. The team earned $513.00 for third place and entering the option money worth $80.00 for a total $588.00.
The fourth place team of Dustin Kilhorn and Wade Walker ended the day with 13.26 pounds of fish they caught in creeks using jigs and top water baits in 1 to 6 of water in the creeks. The team earned $334.00 and entering the first pool option money worth $260.00 for a total of $594.00 The Fifth place team of Jim Toley and Cole Bebot earned $228.00 with 12.30 pounds of fish cought using jig and crank baits.
Big bass of the day was caught by Scott Dunn and Ryan Dunn that weight in at 5.21 pounds that earned the team $320.00.
The second pool option money was won by Sam Grubb and Jacob Grubb that weight in at 12.10 pounds earning the team $156.00.
The third pool option money was won by Jess Taylor and Ryan Fritsh that weight in at 12.03 pounds earning the team $104.00
